hello.
I’ve got some *.dll and *.exe viruses. usually they have stupid names such as “BGF764.dll” etc. most of them are Trojan and spy viruses.
i always choose to delete them, but often they appeare again in the same folder with the same name even if I’m disconnected from the internet.
when i installed avast it found a lot of viruses and as far as i understood it found few in my DDR(?) memory (pardon if i mistaken)
and one more thing, in the end of installation i clicked “NO” when it asked to check the system on next restart and i can’t find how to do this. well i can reinstall it but actually I’d like to know how can i check without reinstall.

Here’s how to do a boot time scan with avast! Right click the scanner screen, select ‘schedule a boot time scan’ and reboot when requested. (Or open the tab at the top left of the scanner screen and select the boot time option from there.)

Can you tell us the name of the malware detected please?

malware name is JAX[1].htm (VBS:Malware-gen). it was found in content.IE5
