Attempt to register reboots computer.

Registration on my computer for the free antivirus product is expiring. Naturally, I tried to register for another year. Selected standard protection, typed in my email address, hit the “Register” button, the screen goes blank, and the computer reboots. Tried again, same result. Tried uninstall, reinstall, and tried registering again with the very same result.

This is on Avast Free Antivirus, program version 12.3.2280.
Computer runs on Windows XP SP3.
