Thank you for a fabulous v2014 roll-out. From the beta test through the RC and into the final release this was the smoothest ever.
We, the user, always ask for more than can be expected. Some of our requests and/or wishes went through, and some did not.
Thank you for addressing them in a dignified manner. The main, and most important thing, is that avast held themselves to a very
high standard. And we expect nothing more nor do we expect nothing less. The end result is the best anti-virus on the planet. 8)
I’d like to second that. Utterly smooth update process (I took the gamble of doing it through the GUI) and 2014 is working with no problems on my x64 Win 7 computer. It’s also fixed a variant of the black screen problem which I’ve experienced since Avast 7. It was never a critical issue for me - my laptop always started - but there was regularly a prolonged black screen delay between the welcome screen and the appearance of the desktop. With v9 the system start-up is much, much faster. Well done Avast!
I have to agree also!! Having been involved with many BETA testings over the years, this has been the best experience ever. Thank you for the hard work and attention to all the tester’s concerns. Great result!!
