[Attention FB Users] Be careful with this application!

Erm…wow it’s just surprising to see that…

"WARNING!!! If ever you see anyone post out an application written “May God always bless this kind person below with peace, love and happiness”, with your profile picture attached below, and send by your friend via Bold Text.
Please DON’T click “like” or “SHARE”. It is a spyware!!!

Ahem…those who are in Facebook I suggest you to read this:

Looks like a useful site for the latest news on Facebook Scams. Not that I use Facebook,But the Wife does.

In all honesty, I wouldn’t trust ‘any application’ advertised/promoted in this way through facebook. Which is just one reason why I don’t have any social networking site membership, much less facebook.

You are quite right DavidR. The only reason I use Facebook, is because it is free and keeps me updated with my friends.

For example if there is no tuition tomorrow, they just have to post in Facebook.

If they were to call us one by one or message us using their mobile phone, this might cost some money :frowning:

The problem with Facebook isn’t Facebook it’s all the third party applications
that the user adds without having a clue as to what rights they grant the third party application.
Facebook used on it’s own and used as originally intended is a nice way to stay in touch with family and friends.

Quite true but our security depends on our friends and our way to judge whether something is safe or not.

Thanks Shiw Liang

Your welcome jadinolf^^

Yes, one solution is to disable all platform applications in privacy settings.

Agree! It keeps me in touch with my 2 sons and remainder of the family. That’s it…and for that, I will keep it around.

Bloody Facebook. I’m always warning my wife about these things. Usually, “Babe, if you see x, do not click on it, it’s actually y.”

Great idea since I think I don’t need any application

Why can’t you people stay away from facebook as I call it the “Hacking Privacy Zone to Destroy you’re Personnel Private Life”

Yep, that is just one more area Privacy. Too many of the default settings shares your data. Unfortunately most people haven’t a clue in how to tighten up privacy and security.

For another words to many people have no brains to understand how to tighten up privacy and security, because it to hard :-\

More like too obscure when it comes to facebook, the settings are buried. No simple Privacy setting, Max, Average, I don’t care about privacy, etc. The same sort of three option setting for security would be great and then users would have a fighting chance.

A little like many different Firewall setting levels, making it easier for users to choose a security level suited to their needs.

Privacy went out the window a long time ago.
We no longer live in the stone age. This is the information age.
If you want total privacy, become a hermit and stop all forms of communication.
Maybe using 2 cans with a string tied between them out in the woods somewhere might still be safe
but I doubt it. ;D
Just remember that before you hit that send button that what you’re sending is something you’re
sharing with the whole world.
I don’t think you can blame a program for the lack of privacy when the user never bothers to
set any of the privacy or any of the other settings. It’s not the programs fault or the programs responsibility.

I did come across this but then i was busy chatting with someone else that i didn’t clicked it…I wanted to know how its done like that ;D

But then are some apps that can scan your profile for links like :

Norton Safe Web

EDIT:

By the way, i got the new slew of Privacy changes day before yesterday. Now people can only tag me with my permission.

+1

I never permit any Facebook third party applications on my systems.

I use Facebook all the time to keep in touch with my daughter and my brother’s family. ;D

I have it set up for https connection in Security Settings!
