I got a new Laptop. I went to the NVIDIA site and updated my graphics card but it also updated my Realtek sound chip which I get an error message saying it has stopped working now. Will a system Restore fix this?
Oh, and my sound still works but some features don’t - i have an empowering technology thing
You can try a restore. It could work.
But you can download new Realtek drivers and see if they work.
You could get the realtek drivers, or try going to the manufacturer’s website (manufacturer of your laptop, not individual hardware) and looking for your drivers there.
Laptops often include drivers specifically made for that particular brand, make, and model, so a “generic” driver from the card manufacturer might not work.
