Audio problems avast! Internet Security 2015

Every since I upgraded from Free to aIS2015 I’ve been having audio problems while playing music or system sounds. Clicking, pops, skipping and etc. I’ve uninstalled Realtek program and drivers a few times and the problems do not go away. The problems stop when I disable all Shields.
I need a better solution. Thanks in advance for any and all help.

Were you using the latest Realtek driver 6.0.1.7404 released through Windows update on the 4th of this month.

Did a clean install and all is good (for now, fingers crossed)

I only get updates for Realtek from the official program website. Thank you for help, CraigB.
