authorize an address email ?

Hello,

It is impossible for me to read a mall received by my organization of unemployment. Here the posting of the source code:

Impossible to open the file joint (pdf) who is invisible …
I have the impression that Avast has to block it?

Is it possible to authorize an address email? So that it is not checked any more by avast? Is it possible not to more make check the emails coming from this address so that I can read my convocations sent to format pdf?

Philippe

PS : excuse for my bad english…

avast! does not block messages, just scan them.
The X-Antivirus lines show that the message is clean and passed through the scanner.
Aren’t your email client blocking the attached file?

You can’t by pass a sender but you can prevent avast to scan ALL Inbound Mail of a particular email account. I don’t think you want this.
Seems the problem is on your email program and not avast! Which one do you use?

Welcome 8)

Hello Tech

I use two email program Outlook Express 6.00.2900.2180 and Mozilla 1.7.12 (mails). All gave bad mail :

  • Mozilla had a white screen (only readable with affichage → code source, but without acces to the PDF file)
  • Outlook had this :

???
Strange… ???
It’s the first time I get this…

Do you mean that I can stop avast to scan all the mails from (for example) courriel.assedic@tsce.net ?
Yes I want this, because if not I will not be able to receive my next convocation with unemployment. (Which is with format PDF, illegible here) :frowning:

Philippe

No, you cannot exclude specific senders - you can only disable e-mail scanning completely.
However, I don’t think your problem has anything to do with avast (unless you see avast! warning dialog pop up each time you receive an e-mail). If you cannot read an attachment (and you know it’s there), it’s probably a problem of your e-mail client; avast! shouldn’t change the e-mail content unless an infection is found.

No, I said you CAN’T stop a specific sender, mails from a specific source (email address). Igor just confirmed that.
You can disable scanning of ALL email accounts or you can disable scanning of a particular email account (then, ALL email received by this account won’t be scanned). Don’t mess email SENDER account and YOUR email account.
