So I was just charged for 2017 via auto-renewal, but my former device to which the license is applied is now kaput. How can I transfer the license to a new device without being charged again?

Please (re)search before posting as things like this have been explained many times already.

  • Delete the old device from your account
  • Install avast on the new one
  • Use your license file.
