I just now noticed my avast Pro antivirus license it set to auto-renewal, I swear that wasn’t there before and i don’t remember ever signing up for it, how did it get like that and how do I cancel it?

I’m more concerned with the fact that it seemed to pop up out of nowhere, I know for a fact my license did NOT say ‘auto-renewal license’ under it before.

The auto-renewal is an opt-out when you order an Avast! paid license.

You would have received a purchase email stating all the information required to activate Avast Pro and access your account

Glad to see things have resolved. The auto renewal in automatically engaged and Unfortunately one has to search out where to change that option to “not auto renew”
Frankly, it should be ‘opt in’ …not ‘opt out’ meaning you have to manually change it.
I was never notified about auto-renewal. I checked my email, and the first notice I received from Avast was telling me I had been charged [six days BEFORE the renewal date]. That’s when I discovered the “opt-out” opton [after searching an hour]. I changed it, but I had already been charged. It’s STILL before the renewal date, but I can’t find how to cancel the renewal. What a scam!
