I can’t Avast Home to startup automatically at boot time on my computer! The installation went well, no problems. When I reboot ZoneAlarm continues to tell me that a anti-virus program is not available.
What am I doing wrong?

Nothing. ZoneAlarm doesn’t “know” avast!, so it won’t detect it, no matter what you do. That doesn’t mean avast! is not there, however

I told ZoneAlarm (ZA) to be quiet! I knew it was there and that was good enough for me!
This morning I have performed a Program Repair and reboot. I didn’t see the globe(s) in my task bar… I am in the process of re-installing the software. At least this time around it is doing its initial scan.
My fingers are crossed!!

The re-installation of Avast went well. I have the two globes displayed in by Taskbar.
We will see what happens when it is time to reboot. Will I see the globes in my Taskbar?

Yes, you should see the globes in the task bar each time you reboot your computer. If you have more problems, please post again.
