AutoIts now reported as virus.. again!

After today’s update my compiled AutoIt scripts are being reported as “Win32:Trojan-gen. {UPX!}”. The VPS version is 0534-0, 22/08/2005.

I’ve seen complaints about this from past updates too. If it’s happened in the past and been corrected it would be nice if it could be tested for BEFORE release - like, LEARN from past mistakes?

My AutoIt version is the current one - V3.1.1.0.

Thank you.

Pete

Me too :‘(
Igor, what’s happening… the samples I’ve sent in the past can’t be checked? :’(

One strange thing:

VPS 0534-0, 22.08.2005

Win32:Agent-BO [Trj], Win32:Aimbot-C [Trj], Win32:Dadobra-BF [Trj], Win32:Nsag-B [Dll], Win32:Rbot-ACX [Trj], Win32:Rbot-ACY [Trj], Win32:SdBot-2184 [Trj], Win32:Surila-F [Trj]

Win32:Trojan-gen. {UPX!}
I can't see this virus in update list so it should be reported not after this update... :-\ I think...

Re: YLAP’s response.

I am NOT imagining things, if what YLAP is saying is that what I reported is not happening! If flipping well is! It needs sorting!

Pete

I’m not saying “It can’t be happening” >:( You have mentioned one fact, I’ve mentioned another. And I’m not saying you are the liar!

Trojan-Gen are usually not listed on VPS history page. Few samples from my quarantine got tagged as Trojan-Gen,but they were not on the VPS list. So it’s quiet possible yes…

Well, I don’t know what to say. I have no idea what is so special about those AutoIt scripts that they get incorrectly detected again and again :-[ Sorry about it.

Please, Tech, send me one of those detected files - I’ll personally include it into the set of files used to check for possible false alarms.

I’ll do it… It’s not only a problem of avast! but other antivirus and antispywares do the same :stuck_out_tongue:
