Automatic rootkit scan was not started

I have gotten this twice in the Log Viewer - Notice - ‘Automatic rootkit scan was not started as it didn’t complete successfully during the last run.’ What should I do about it?

It can be a lot of things causing this, but without more details it is not possible to say what caused it. What log viewer? What OS? Any other errors/warnings? What’s loading at boottime? etc etc?

The details of detections in the boot-time scan are in C:\Program Files\Alwil Software\Avast4\DATA\report\aswBoot.txt
Anti-rootkit scan log is in C:\Program Files\Alwil Software\Avast4\DATA\log\aswAr.log.

Any further info?
