automatic scan setting

I downloaded the free home package and installed on my ME computer. Started the scan, expecting it to complete when I returned. A window indicated a virus or malware had been detected, scanning stopped, and suggested moving it to the “quarantine bin” (It has another name I don’t recall.) A click to do so and the scan resumed. The same thing occurred each time a problem was encountered. Is there a setting to automatically move any suspect file without me sitting in front of the screen and clicking on the screen?

Thanks.

No, only in Professional version (see picture here: http://forum.avast.com/index.php?topic=13315.msg112285#msg112285).

Well, that’s the way it is, I am afraid; you may call it a limitation of the Home Edition of avast!. In the Professional Edition, you can configure the task to perform automatic actions (or, don’t do anything).
In the Home version, you may check the “Don’t show again” checkbox in the Virus warning dialog - but only after the first virus has been found (because you won’t see the virus dialog until then).

Welcome to avast forums.

Thank you for the information.
