Automatic Updates

I am using the most recent release of Avast Pro. I have automatic updates checked for both definitions and the program. However, I am getting frequent warnings from Windows that my virus defs are out of date. When I then do a manual update within the program, I find that there are, in fact, new definitions and the download completes satisfactorily.

It seems that the automatic update feature is not working correctly. Has anyone had the same experience and, if so, do you know of a fix?

Make sure that the system date and time are accurate.

This is a known fix.

I use Atomic Clock Sync v3.0 to keep my system clocks synchronized:

Thanks but the system date and time are correct for my time zone (Eastern -5)
