Hi there,
I searched the forum, but didn’t find an answer.
I’m using Avast! 4 Home on a Windows ME System with Outlook 2000. When I receive an e-mail with a virus, I get a popup and can choose for “remove”.
Is there a setting so that this goes completely automaticly ???
only the pro version can automically deletes virus from infected mails…
for the home version…u can however configure it to move virus to chest automatically…
click on your avast icon in your system tray…go to internet mail provider…customise…advanced…tick silent mode with general answer no…
hope this is clear
Yip, this is clear but…
I’m using Outlook2000, so Avast! is not using the Internet Mail, but the Outlook/Exchange option. Here I don’t have the mentioned option.
Any other way, or just click twice on ‘remove’?
HT,
In the Home version, using Outlook/Exchange, you do not have the option to automatically move to chest…
however, you can have the infected file/s sent to a folder for storage and then delete them from there.
This is easily done by using the <> (left right arrows) at the top of the Customize window to move to Virus Storing.
Check the box and name a folder.
Not the best concept, but at least you know they go somewhere. ;D
Auto delete is only one advantage of the Pro version. Read up on it.
It truly is worth the small price.
