AutoPico PUP

I was recently using avast cleanup to put some applications to sleep to speed up my computer when i found a application called AutoPico. The name didn’t seem legit so i searched through windows defender security intelligence and found it is a “severe” PUP that has a chance to download malware. The page has little information on what to do next. I’m not sure if i should manually delete it because i don’t want the PUP to transform into malware and blow up my computer {I’m a bit exaggerative when comes to computer security, hence my user name}. Any help on what to do next is greatly appreciated.

As Sass Drake say in your other topic >> https://forum.avast.com/index.php?topic=218620.msg1460237#msg1460237

You can always upload and test suspicious file(s) here >> www.virustotal.com

I uploaded it to VirusTotal and 34 out of 67 antiviruses found it as dangerous. A majority say it’s a Hack Tool, some say it’s a Trojan, and a few say PUP or riskware. So the question is, how do i remove it, it has a lot of files and i don’t know if there are more files hiding.

It is a crack tool, … so I guess you are using cracked OS or Office :frowning:

Odd, I have never used a tool to get something illegally, must be from the person I bought my laptop from.
