How can u prevent a malware who comes via removable media
using an autoplay command to open the virus files???
is there anyway to alter the windows policy setting to do this?

Yes ther is a way to stop autoplay.
To change how your computer handles multimedia content Open My Computer. Under Devices with Removable Storage, right-click the device you want, such as a digital camera or CD-ROM drive, and then click Properties. On the AutoPlay tab, click the multimedia content type you want to change. Under Actions, click the action you want Windows to perform when it detects the media type you selected. NotesXOX
Your removable storage device must be attached to your computer for it to appear in the My Computer folder.

another option to disable AUTORUN>>>
- Click Start > Run
- Type “gpedit.msc”
- Computer Configuration > Click “Administrative Templates” > Click “System” > Double-Click “Turn off Autoplay”
- Setting tab > Check “Enabled” > Select “All drives” from the drop down menu > Apply > Ok

apart from dropping a “autorun.inf” in flash drives…it also creates “new folder.exe”/'boot.exe"…it looks like a folder…BUT it has .exe extension…if u click on it by mistake…u’ll get infected…even if autorun has been disabled

Or, corresponding to CD/DVD, the autorun can be swithed of by constantly pressing the Shift button for 3-5 secafter inserting disc to the deck.
