av-force.net & com Malware

I got zapped today by some Malware that mimicked Win 7 security alerts. I picked it up at torcache.com. It blocked the opening of any program on my computer, except browsers and win explorer. I finally had to get into Linux (dual boot), access drive C: and delete folders created today in /users/myname/appdata/local/ and so forth. That took care of it.

Avast did not find the malware in a system scan. (At some point I finally got Avast to start a scan.)

The Malware was trying to get my browsers to access wXw.av-force.net to obtain anti-virus software, but Avast would block it each time. I found out later that av-force.net & .com are involved.

I’ve gotten viruses in the past, but never anything like this malware that had me blocked at almost every turn.

Different fake/similar thing happened to me, but I was sandboxed, so manually closing the browser from the avast! GUI ended it.

Please disable the links in your post for security reasons to somewhat like wxw, as shown above…

Hi guys,
please use Firefox with NoScript to prevent iFrame (and similar) attacks…!!!
