to avoid multiple post with copy and paste… attach the rest of the logs

see lower left corner > additional options > attach

Essexboy is notified…

OK Will do.

This is my Daughters Computer so I am afraid to even look at these reports.

Malwarebyes info being attached…

wow…longest log i have seen this year…it may be a record ;D

if you scan again with Malwarebytes you will see that there are som PUP detections…
these are not marked for removal by default…so if you want those removed also you must tic thme and then click the “remove selected” button

PUP (potentially unwanted program)
http://searchsecurity.techtarget.com/definition/PUP

Will do.

OTL Log being attached now

Somehow it got misplaced. Looking

[OT] Just seen a longer MBAM 67.79KB one this morning, though it was large essentially the greatest majority of it was one adware type, but had masses of registry entries and tmp files, etc. so size isn’t everything ;D [/OT]

I think avast Sandboxed the OTL Program so I lost the logs.

How do I get avast to not do that to the OTL?

Nevermind figured it out. Will start the scan again.

Yes, I think essexboy needs to edit his instructions on OTL to include the avast autosandbox feature and allow OTL to be opened normally (busy man).

This is my Daughters Computer so I am afraid to even look at these reports.
kids downloads and click on all kinds of strange stuff.....i think your Daughter is going to see a much quicker and responsive computer when essexboy have done his work here ;)

OTL notes

I see you also have Norton internet security AV running… never install more then on AV

run and reboot - Uninstallers for Security Software Nr #26a
http://thewebatom.net/uninstallers/security-software/

Just to be clear, running the removal utility will uninstall Norton. So, only run it if that’s what you want / need. I’m just mentioning this in case the “extra” security software you are using (from your point of view) is not Norton.

In any case, if you have a license for it, you may want to save it for the future.

OK I think I have run Rogur Killer, OTL, and Malwarebytes twice. the only thing I have not run yet is aswMBR. Should I run it as well?

I also Removed Nortons. I thought I had gotten rid of it. I have not used anything but Avast in the past, I think, 5 years.

Ladyaseret

The Norton install is probably one that was preinstalled on the computer when new ?

yepp also do aswMBR and then it is just wait for Essexboy to arrive…may take some hours

I have been up all night and I have to go to work in 2 hours. Very upset with my daughter. Luckily it’s a on the feet type of job and I will only be there for 5 hours.

So hopefully by the time I get back from work something will be here for me to work with.

AswMBR attached

OK here we go - the trouble with kids is if the ad says free and cool together they must have it, and cute smileys are a must have for young girls

I may not have got it all on this first run- so when you re-run OTL again select all users

As the fix is so large I would like you to do the following:

Warning This fix is only relevant for this system and no other, using on another computer may cause problems

Be advised that when the fix commences it will shut down all running processes and you may lose the desktop and icons, they will return on reboot

Download the attached fix.txt to your desktop
Run OTL and press the run fix button
A dialogue will open asking for the location of the fix
Select the fix.txt you have on your desktop and press run fix again

I am on my other computer. I am running the program as we speak as I just got home from work.

Will let you know when it is complete.
