I probably did. I was desperate last night. I was talked to here.

PS… The program is stalled and not responding.

Do you want me to close that one there and let you continue here ? Or vice versa ;D
Is it on the reset host file section ? or clearing the temp folders ?
If the later - dependant on the last time it was cleaned it may take up to 15 minutes
If the former then just close OTL and reboot
Close that one there. And the computer locked up.
I see empty temp on the screen?
It rebooted itself and I think that the program was in the reset host section.
Attached a file that came up whe the computer restarted.
What are the current problems ?
Please download [b]Malwarebytes’ Anti-Malware
Double Click mbam-setup.exe to install the application.
[*]Make sure a checkmark is placed next to Update Malwarebytes’ Anti-Malware and Launch Malwarebytes’ Anti-Malware, then click Finish.
[*]If an update is found, it will download and install the latest version.
[*]Once the program has loaded, select “Perform Quick Scan”, then click Scan.
[*]The scan may take some time to finish, so please be patient.
[*]When the scan is complete, click OK, then Show Results to view the results.
[*]Make sure that everything is checked, and click Remove Selected.
[]When disinfection is completed, a log will open in Notepad and you may be prompted to Restart.(See Extra Note)
[]The log is automatically saved by MBAM and can be viewed by clicking the Logs tab in MBAM.
[*]Copy&Paste the entire report in your next reply.
Extra Note:
If MBAM encounters a file that is difficult to remove, you will be presented with 1 of 2 prompts, click OK to either and let MBAM proceed with the disinfection process, if asked to restart the computer, please do so immediately.
THEN
Please run a fresh OTL scan
Wow the Malwarebytes file really shrunk! Only 2 Items.
Adding the file.
Will now run the OTL
Good - just orphan registry entries
How is the computer behaving now ?
Seems better.
Here’s the OTL report
Looks much better - I would recommend that she uninstall all the toolbars and the so called utility programmes, registry boosters, download boosters etc… As they add nothing to the system and slow it down
The desktop picture will disappear as that is part of Funweb products - not a nice programme to have on the computer. So the picture will need replacing
Once OTL has finished then I would recommend a disc defragment to add a little speed to the system
Once done can you let me know of any remaining problems
Warning This fix is only relevant for this system and no other, using on another computer may cause problems
Be advised that when the fix commences it will shut down all running processes and you may lose the desktop and icons, they will return on reboot
Run OTL
[*]Under the Custom Scans/Fixes box at the bottom, paste in the following

Any recommendations to things I should keep on the computer for future?keep Malwarebytes...and you should always click the update button before you scan..... there have already been 4 updates since your first scan here ;)
if you click the settings tab and then change the default 7day to 1day then you get a warning if signatures are older then 1 day
malwarebytes may release 10 updates on a day
A few that are not required or are as much use as a chocolate teapot ;D :
