Scoring lower on that test doesn’t mean the self protection is not good.
Only two things are tested which doesn’t say much about the level of self defense.
There are other ways then just ASLR and DEP.

ASLR and DEP are just two things that can help protect software, l but there are many others.
What those testers have done is NOT testing the self defense of av’s, but just checking if (and how far) they have used ASLR and DEP.

See it like this.
If I have really good locks on my door from brand A, why should I also put good locks on them from brand B ?
