I have AVG 2014 (installed on my desktop) and Avast 2014 (installed in my laptop & where I access this forum from). I want to share AV-Test results for both AVG and Avast 2014 and I have to be completely honest with you all that I have to disagree with the score they put for protection category both for AVG and Avast. For the other categories for Avast and AVG their scores are pretty much similar which is a good thing. I am completely sure that Avast team will and I know they will improve Avast 2015 become a stronger and better product.
This test has been available for a couple of months now and has been brought up on the forum several times already, I don’t see a need to open a new topic just for this when it is already posted elsewhere.
Static,Avast had backend issues during the poor to good performance time which was very unfortunate but it happened for good our cloud is much stronger now after the issues.I think the upcoming results should definately reflect alot of the cloud improvements that I am seeing over this month. It should getting better in upcoming test.
Also evo-gen is also definately improving.Avast is getting better with age.I am sure Avast 2015 with new deepscreen module and all add-on technologies will make a BIG difference.
With all this said,I have no reason not to recommend avast! now to my clients.I just have to recommend it.Its getting better and better and 2015 version will a big breakthrough for the team.I am really happy in the direction in which they are headed and I hope they will continue to improve and keep the focus on the AV steady.
I trusted with all my life and confidence since I was using the very first version of Avast 7 till then and now it has never let me down. I don’t have any regrets or change of mind when I saw Avast does a top notch off the hook A+ job at protecting my laptop after using some very popular antivirus such as McAfee, Trend Micro, and Norton and free antivirus such as Panda Cloud Free and MSE.
Only was surprised and shocked to see about the protection category! Since I am not using the Avast 2015 and I have read all the A+ stuffs it going to get and I have been keeping tabs on the feed-backs and improvements about Avast 2015 I know 100% that Avast 2015 will be an even better A+ product
