I don’t agree with that performance score to be honest.
Avast is one of the few AVs which is light and doesn’t cause the system to a slowdown.
I don’t understand the performance figures either. Like the latest AV-C performance test where avast! scored almost the worst for first time file scans. How in bloody hell when every single time I’ve tried Windows Defender, whole system stalled when it encountered a new file that had to be scanned. Or the SOPHOS Free. Exactly the same thing. Yet in tests, they both surpass avast! by some bizarre logic. And I’ve tested them on range of hardware from top of the line desktop PC with super fast HDD and SSD to mid end Windows tablet and to low end laptop. They all behaved the same.
At least avast! upped the protection game. This is the second test where avast! scored really well which seems to slowly confirm they are doing something. Finally.
I don’t know how they separate Usability out from Performance as they should be hand in glove. Iif the Performance is deemed to be slow, how the hell can it get a 6.0 of 6.0 for Usability.
Slow performance would be a big factor of Usability…

+1
i do notice a big slowdown and high cpu usage when a game is downloading through steam.
That’s mostly related to HTTP scanner imo.
