Sorry if this has already been posted, I didn’t see anything. Avast! did alright, but still needs to catch up on zero-day. In all it did worse in June than May. AVG surprised me with 100% detection of zero-day, but it was its paid version.

Yeah, against zero-day you need a different approach. There will be always a fight against each other, malware and antimalware tools. Behavior blocker, cloud technologies, sandboxing and, particularly, block unknown files to be executed (HIPS).
OK, so what do people recommend until Avast is good at zero day attacks??? Those are the ones I REALLY worry about. Do they need a better behavior blocker?
that’s for sure.
Also, I feel that avast needs to improve repair ability… compared to avira.
Hope that v5.1 will include HIPS
Avast is not planning to used HIPS in there next version
it’s me or in this test Avast! has way worse results comapared to previous test
I’ve been through Threatfire (detailed info. that is incomprehensible to me)
Prevx (thrashed my PC and costs $. I’ll pay for Avast IS but not another)
