Avant wants to delete stashIMAPI

Hi chaps and chapesses,

I’m new to this forum and I did do a search for my question first but I didn’t find anyone else asking what I need to know… I’m hoping someone knows whats happening and can help me out!!!

When I put a CD into my burner the usual box comes up, do you want to burn with Nero, play CD blah blah blah.

Just as that happens Avast will ask if I want to allow, allow all or deny the deletion of a file; stashIMAPI.bin

I used to deny the deletion and my PC would open up Nero and I’ll happily burn said CD, now it doesn’t matter if I deny or agree it will not bring Nero up!!! And I can’t bring it up myself, Nero just refuses to work.

I have manually deleted the stashIMAPI.bin file from within the C:/ as I read on google it’s where the burner software creates a ‘pretend’ drive for said files to burn. So why is Avast asking me if I want this deleted when I insert a CD? And now why is the software not working at all?

Thanks in advance for any offers of advice

Open the resident protection control window, go to the properties of Standard Shield provider and on the third page (Blocker), uncheck all (4) checkboxes under “Blocked operations”.

Dear Igor,

Thank you for your reply, I have done as you instructed and I’m crossing fingers (not while I’m typing!) that it works, thanks once again for your message
