Avast 17.1.2286

Just updated and now my computer takes quite a bit longer to boot up, well it starts at the normal speed but I’m stuck staring at the desktop until AvLaunch finishes running and than applications are able to be opened up, it’s as if Avast launching is bottlenecking other programs.

I appreciate the work you’re putting into these but it seems every update makes things just a little bit slower.

Hope it help you.

Hi Avast Team,

Good work and nice feature for free antivirus.
I appreciate and love for all of you.

Thanks.

what is behavior analysis protection

i hope it doesn’t hide my IP, cause some sites specially game sites use IP to intensify ppl, that’s also why i always rejected the message about Hide me, avast sometimes asks user do u want to hide urself or something like that, 2strict security will harass gamers that’s one reason i have stayed in avast free ver so i hope they will keep free ver in the lvl & not make it 2strict

congratulation for the new release avast team. the update went fine here as all ways.

You can try of course, but as a far I can see, the issue occurs since years. The first time i had the issue was in 2014…
Maybe avast fixes some time.

Hi, I installed version 17 new on a PC. Now the PC is shown as offline in my avast account.
So my question is:
How can I link my local installation to my avast account?
I didn’t find any “Sign In” or “Account” settings in version 17. Is it gone?

Thanks a lot

Same Here.
Did a clean install seems to be working okay?

Just FYI.
The upgrade to this version may have caused a Windows 10 sign in problem. When I turned on my PC today (and it was finishing the update to this version), I could not log on to Windows. I got an “The user profile service failed the sign in” error and it booted me back to the sign in screen. Googling the problem said that a possible cause was antivirus program activity.
Restarting my computer solved the problem. I scanned my HDD for errors (nothing was found). Have since sucessfully rebooted as well.
Again, it may have just been coincidental - or maybe not.

@croftypedro:
I Did a clean install. I uninstalled Avast using the Avast uninstall Tool. After reinstalling avast hasn’t asked any account credentials

Hi i have a ploblem with Avast 17.1.2286 i can’t not get update definition since 6/2/2017 why?

Noticed that bug as well. Also on one device only the Smart Scan results are not logged although Quick Scan results are. Odd.

Streaming updates are coming continuously so no need to worry. If an engine update is needed the team will publish an update and you’ll get in in 4 hours.

This is known issue. The ability to connect to your Avast account will be here soon.

Waiting for at least an answer, the best a new UI resizable !!!

Hi, first of all thank you for your feedback. We’ve payed a lot attention to accessibility of the new UI. We’ll test this behaviour better in the upcoming update. Hope we’ll handle the focus state better, so please check this once we release the update.

The main UI scan progress is somewhat buggy in my case…had to minimize to refresh and see the real progress of the scan. But no main problems so far.

:frowning: full system scan 10 min showing still 0% :frowning: fix it

Did 1 yesterday. Lasted around 50 minutes. Seems so, that you have to fix s.th.!
Or simply wait. ;D
