Hello All
Stayed with Defender for a bit on Laptop Machine since kept having UI stopped responding, see today they released a possible fix for that issue, so I was like oh cool I can go back to Avast, Well Now Behavior Shield won’t start/stay on
System Details
Windows 10 1803 x64 Home
Intel I7 7700HQ
8gb of DDR4 Ram
128mb SSD
1tb Storage
Clean installed about 2 weeks ago, 1709 Clean installed, and then 1803 Upgraded over that (can do a fresh start type refresh or a full clean install if need be) only would take a little of my time, just want Avast working, sorta don’t feel all that safe using Defender, but if i have to, i will use it if need be
Thank you all in advance
Video proof of issue (taken with Gamedvr on WIndows 10 1803)

Your signature still indicates that you are using Avast 17.8.2318, is this still the case ?
It’s outdated Signature, didn’t get it updated as yet, using Avast 18.3.2333 on WIndows 10 1803 x64 Home on the Laptop, Desktop same program
Due to the UI Stopping responding, and couldn’t get past that before, I stupidly activated Defender, but really I should be able to remove my game exclusions, then reinstall Avast, and it would work fine or so it should, but kinda scared to even try it on Desktop at this point, as got a lot more software on this one if it goes haywire like the Laptop
I thought it might be your signature out of date.
I haven’t had any personal experience of the Behaviour Shield not running, but there are many instances on the forums.
I’m not sure if the recent fix release you are talking about has actually been released yet, or it hadn’t when I did a manual program update check on my win10 laptop yesterday. I have just checked again and it is reporting my version is ‘Already up to date.’
I just wonder if manually launching the AvEmUpdate.exe Avast Emergency Update check from the Avast program folder would have any impact.
Not sure why this Behavior shield issue happens, but i’ll work on as long as I can, before I possibly end up switching to Windows Defender, hopefully if I decide to reinstall Avast after UI stopped responding issue on the Desktop, this same thing doesn’t happen as well
