Hello avast forum.
Currently im running avast 9 with the windows firewall and everything runs ok.
Just wondering if anyone is running comodo firewall v6.3 with avast 9 and experiencing any issues.?
Is the windows firewall adequate or is a 2-way firewall really needed.?
Thank you.

A two-way firewall is the best option. A hardware firewall is very much advised.
I have not (yet?) heard any problem between avast en Comodo.

Thank you eddy.
I dont have a hardware firewall.
I use a USB dongle to get connected.
I would like to hear about any issues before installing comodo firewall.
The windows firewall does appear to work just fine with avast.
Thanks.

I have Comodo Firewall v6.3 and have been running Avast 9 for a couple of days and have had no bugs at all. The two programs don’t seem to be conflicting at all and everythings running smoothly!!

I have installed comodo firewall with no issues.
Could somebody be so kind as to explain what exclusions i need to put in place and how within each program as i cannot find the global exclusions in avast 9.
Thank you.

Hey guys quick question on this…Avast 2014 has its own firewall built in doesnt it?
Should I still use something like Comodo or is it now covered by Avast?
Thanks.

It depends on what avast version you have if it has a firewall or not.
