Avast 2014 and restriction for Iranian users

Hello;
since releasing avast 2014 v9 we Iranian users facing issues with installing and updating avast products.
even with free product like Avast Free Antivirus 2014 we have problems.
it seems avast company restricted using of avast softwares inside Iran!
the problem started with getting updates for all products from inside Iran.and apparently Iranian IP’s are Blocked by avast servers!
but recently after releasing the new (2014) versions of products we see another type of errors.
for example after installation of Avast free Antivirus & Internet Security we can’t activate Trial period for paid version and also we can’t register free antivirus 1 year free license.
the most common errors with avast is " the avast service is off" and " The AAVM subsystem detected an RPC error".

I searched the forum for solutions but none of them worked for me.
here i just opened this topic to ensure ,do we Iranian users have right to use avast softwares or NOT?
I know there may be sanctions and restriction against governments,but people of a country are not the governments.
like all other people of the world we also have right to use at least the free version of avast products or buying the paid versions.
but unfortunately iranian users are bereaved using avast software which is one of most favorite softwares in Iran.

for an example avast internet security installed on Windows 8.1 Enterprise 32bit after updating with a proxy server stopped working!
Please anyone from avast help and inform me what to do.I almost tried any solution i could find in forum but no achievement.

This has been the case for some time now (May 2012) not just avast 9.0.

This relates to a USA Embargo / Sanction - Banned Countries:
It seems to be correct, Iran is on the list of countries where this sanction is applied, see this post http://forum.avast.com/index.php?topic=98853.msg789135#msg789135.

They lifted the ban in May 2013, so I am not sure that is the issue. Try another AV since most AV have at least branches in the US or a western country, if they work, then it is not because of any new restrictions and the problem is something else.

I’m not sure as an avast user; I haven’t seen anything on the lifting of sanctions and I’m sure there have been topics related to this later than May 2013.

Some additional info.

Thanks for that - Unfortunately that doesn’t really clear it up as late as August 2013 in that topic things still appeared to be embargoed.

Hello again;

I just wanna say thank you anyone who responded.
apparently i should use another AV.
I wish As soon as possible this embargo be removed for Iranian users and like other users from all around world we be able to use Avast products again.
Thanks for your answers.

Good luck.

Our (USA) has yet to lift “all” sanctions/embargo.
Congress needs to act before any or all are lifted.
