I’ve installed Avast 2014 on my Dell Laptop running Windows 8.1 (not preview), and after a week was getting limited connectivity with no valid Wi-Fi IP Configuration, no matter whether I connected via Ethernet or Wi-Fi the IP address would always be
Autoconfig IP Address: 169.254.116.50
Subnet Mask: 255.255.0.0
eventually I noticed someone mentioned that they had AVG and had the same issue with the same Autoconfig IP Address, they uninstalled AVG and the issue was fixed I uninstalled Avast 2014 Premier and my internet started working again after I restarted, does anyone know why the antivirus doesn’t seem compatible with Windows 8.1 Avast has always been awesome and I buy licenses for my whole family is there a way to avoid this problem?
