Avast 2015.10.0.2208 using 100% resources

IE is up to date
Firefox is up to date
avast is using 100% resources after desktop loads,or when switching pages with firefox or Internet explore.
Also what happened to “pop-up” letting you know Avast updated?

I have used all on-board tools/scanners ie:AVAST,Malwarebytes,also fallowed steps in two trusted security forums, “Malware Removal Forums” all tools/scans found nothing,also ran "CCCleaner, Windows Chkdsk, checked all drivers for update,Windows update,
.
Any Ideas?

The update notifications have been dropped in the 2015 version as has been told many times on this webboard already.
