AVAST 2015 R3 2223 nukes Windows Update on XP POSReady

just upgraded a test machine to AVAST 2015 R3 (2015.10.3.2223) and found out that Avast kills browser-based Windows Update access… (i have not tested yet if it nukes them via the Automatic Updates service too… didn’t have the patience/time for it.)

Has WinXP support been officially removed starting with Avast 2015 R3?

this test system OS: WinXP SP3 Pro with all updates to date, including XP POSReady updates. i know it’s well past the End of Life of WinXP but i still have to maintain such systems :(…

After poking in the settings I even tried disabling the new checkbox that was added in Avast 2015 R3 for HTTPS scanning… no go. Windows Update won’t work unless i disable Avast shields completely.

B) after turning off Avast shields and restarting the browser - Windows Update functions normally

Nope, no problems here on XP. (But I don’t have POSReady machines.)

Here windows update service not work: cpu activity of the service 50% infinite;
this happened after install update 10.3.2223 from precedent version 10.2.2221.
Some solution? >:( >:( >:( :o!!!

Windows XP Windows Update is notorious for going haywire on CPU usage with or without avast!..
