Same here but don’t know about pixelated ???

Seems you are using a smaller icons on dektop, so it looks OK. So it is icon’s resolution question.

I just did a clean install of the new RC version and ran into a problem. Thunderbird could not download my GMail emails. It had no problem with downloading Yahoo emails. It could even send emails via GMail but could not receive them. Thunderbird would try to connect to the server and would time out. So completely uninstalled the program (no Avast on the system) and the problem remained. After restoring my system from a previous backup, all is well. It appears that something was modified during the installation.

If this is an RC then it should be very close to the final release and NOT have bugs that the prior builds did not have. I have no use for the cleaner, I do not want the cleaner but every time I run a Smart Scan this is what I get:

I do not even have The Cleaner installed. I understand tha this haneffect on the smart scan ( Hope) but this should have been fixed by now.

Your screenshot shows no bug to me. I hope you still know, that this RC is a BETA. And within it there is ‘Cleanup’.
Why didn’t you go ahead to ‘Resolve all’? At the end of the ‘BETA’, ‘Cleanup’ will be out of ‘SmartScan’! So you need a licence then and have to pay for it.

There are some primary languages since I went to school.
I did and your screenshot shows, that you have ‘Cleanup’ installed (automatically, for you did no ‘user defined’ installation where you could untick ‘Cleanup’!).
‘10.3.’ is a brand new devellopment (‘In memory of Jan Koubek’) and much better than ‘10.2.’!

Martin, check my post https://forum.avast.com/index.php?topic=172345.msg1230189#msg1230189, whilst I can’t reproduce the error of gtx66 - I do have an anomaly.

Where the image attached in my post link above shows (from running a Smart Scan) that my PC performance has been optimized, now presumably that would mean that cleanup has run (?) yet there is no cleanup entry in the avastUI > Settings > Tools.

I reported this about nine months ago and they have never fixed it in the stable release either.

installed r3 rc{2222) this am. clean install, file shield, web shield, ng, network and nothing else.
so far every thing is good. no issues. internet speed good. will report if issues arise.

How can you report and expect to solve problems ??? Thought that’s what Beta Testing is all about ???

FYI to anyone that cares, I removed AIS , used AvastClear in Safe mode which by the way does NOT remove everything. I then re installed clean this latest Beta, I will not call it an RC as it is not ready for prime time. My issue with “The Clear Feature” is now gone. IMHO Avast is turning into a bloated program which reminds me of the old Norton Programs. I can also do without the Chrome adverts. Have a nice day!

RC (Release Candidate) as you are probably aware is still a beta build, until it becomes a final release it is still a beta. Which is presumably why it has 2015 BETA in the UI.

I resolved it I guess you do not have a great understanding of The English Language Bob. An RC is a Release Candidate unlike an Alpha or Beta it’s next step is The Final Release. If people want to refer to an RC as a Beta then that is up to them. In the scheme of things one a Beta reaches the RC level it is referred to as such.

Nothing wrong with my comprehension even if I don’t make that statement. David is correct in what he posted. It’s still a Beta and bound to still have quirks.
Since you no longer have it installed, you should be happy they no longer effect you.
