Sorry to be slow in reply. I could not get avast 2015.10.3.2225 to work with my vista 32bit computer. The lockups while browsing still occurred. I have clean installed using avast cleaner and gone back to version 2015.10.3.2215 and after 78 hours of use no more locks have occurred. At this point I believe something is wrong with the avast program and it appears to be tied in with 32bit versions of Microsoft operating systems. My 64 bit win7 computer and my win8.1 64 bit computer have not had a problem but my friend’s computer with avast pro which I believe is a win7 32bit system had lockups. My friend got help from avast support for like 4 hours and now his computer won’t boot. I have stopped updating the avast program on all my 32bit systems. I would file a problem report but when I tried I had to be a paying customer to even file a report.
Thanks for the update. Looks like we are on the same path. I also had another lockup on the fresh install of 2225 so I have now installed 2215 but I’m only at 24 hours on this test. If I can make it a week and remain stable, I’ll try reinstalling the windows updates and the Firefox update that came in at the same time as the Avast 2015.10.3…
At least I am pretty confident that this is not a hardware problem. My Vista machine is getting old. but it was very stable until the July updates.

No one have the link to the 10.3.2218 versione pls?
My system literally freeze, then block and all i can do is just unlock the battery and re-boot system: Vista.
My Mozilla browser is updated to the latest version so flash player and java…nothing seems to prevent the lock up of the system and surely is caused by the latest update of Avast version…which is unbelievable cause all working fine with the 2218 version…
I am also having problems with Avast Free 10.3.2225 update clashing with Microsoft Office 2003.
The mouse right click menu now no longer works in Outlook, I haven’t noticed if I am also suffering from some of the other mentioned issues.
I confirmed the problem is definitely with Avast Free 10.3.2225 update, because I restored the PC to before this Avast update then Office 2003 was OK again, but as soon as the Avast update 10.3.2225 was re-installed the problem came back.
I am using Windows 7 SP1 and Microsoft Firewall. What is the solution to get Office working normally again?
So i dont know if this just normal or not, but In windows 7 Avast icon was first icon i seen upon boot in to windows, but in windows 10 Avast icon is LAST icon to show up on boot, it is almost like Avast loaded last
And no
Load Avast services only after loading other system services is not checked
It’s pretty much up to the Operating System what loads when.
You can use a program like WinPatrol to delay the startup of certain items which will change the default order.
The fact that the avast tray icon, avastUI.exe, may take some time to load (mine is third in line after WinPatrol and Outpost Firewall Pro), doesn’t mean that you have a problem. The tray icon isn’t part of the protection, but an interface to the program, which loads loads considerably sooner.
