Recently, I’ve upgraded to Avast 2016 on my laptop. (Among others, I use Avast on all my PC’s as well as those I’ve built for others.)
My laptop is rather old, so I’ve never been concerned that the Avast service uses up to 50% of my CPU when doing scans. (Although it’s still a 3ghz dualcore, just an older one.)
However, since I’ve upgraded to Avast 2016 there is now another task also using up to 50% of my CPU as well!
This basically means that my laptop becomes unusable whenever Avast does a scan.
Just what have you guys done, that doubles the load on the CPU?!
This is seriously unacceptable.
If it stays like this, I’ll be forced to switch to another AV…
As you saw from my screenshots in the other thread, I don’t have your problem.
Something on your system is triggering and that’s what needs to be solved.
