ill install 64 bit winodw sin my PC. and toady i have Avast Professional 4.8 and a 2 year license… can i use my license in 64 bit??? where can i download this version

The full 64 bit version of avast! is scheduled for V5.1 later this year but avast! V5 works great on my Windows 7 64 bit system.
You can use your license from 4.8 but you need to get the V5 license update.

No, as far as I’m aware that isn’t correct, it is planned to be able to schedule a boot-time scan in avast 5.1 for 64bit OSes, which doesn’t require avast to be completely natively 64bit.
A full native 64bit version of avast would take considerably more work that that.
I paid for and downloaded avast! Internet Security suite without specifying that I had a 64-bit system, and it running very smoothly. Avast! is updating itself and catching threats.
