avast 4.2.7.3

Avast Free Antivirus / Premium Security

I have recently renewed license and updated. since I have done so the windows (XP) security alert ( red sheld icon on toolbar) says that I have No VSP antivirus software. Any one have any ideas ?

If you are using avast! 4.2.7.3 then you are using a really old version (assuming Home or Professional Edition) the latest it 4.7.817 please upgrade to the latest version. (Upgrades are free as long as you have a valid license that has not expired)

thanks . I downloaded it the other day . I’ve ran the program again and is now 4.7, its the skinn that was 4.2.7.3.
The red sheild from the windows Security alert is still at red .

Check the date in your computer. Try a repair (add/remove programs > avast> repair)
