There is still an avast 4.8.1368 home running on windows 98 SE on an old computer which I like to maintain.
The validity of the registration key ended on sept. 1st 2011.
A screen arrived from avast to instal avast 6.
However avast 6 is not accepted by windows 98 SE.
I need a new registration key for avast 4.8 home.
How do I get this key ?

I have also an old note pc with Win98SE running with avast!4.8 Home free, ver.4.8.1368 recently updated from 4.8.1335. Why recently? Because for long time I left it without updating due to its poor capacity now. But for emergency use, I reinstalled avast! free 4.8.1335 downloaded 2009/7/26 and registered to get new licence key by e-mail from avast!. Probably you also can resolve the problem reinstalling your 4.8 if you have the 4.8 downloaded before and register again to get the licence key.

It only took you two years you’ll have to look for something else to protect that old system before long as 4.8 is due to be shut down soon ( it’s already in overtime )
