Which is your firewall?
Isn’t there any other antivirus present in this computer (OEM)?
Hmm, finding out I am a novice at this, thought I knew more about computers…
Story short:
I removed McAffee after the trialperiod and installed Avast. Then avast asked for a new registration key, which I found online. After installing the new key, I lost functions such as using gmail, facebook and other web-services also didn’t work after this…
Ok, so I took a chance, removed avast and installed it again… No solution to my problem.
My firewall reportedly is “windows firewall”, and its turned on…
I don’t know what more to tell, have never experienced a thing like this before. In general, I have not been too impressed with Vista, although I don’t know if Vista is to blame for this Maybe I missed a step somewhere??
Thank you for your time
Camilla

Sometimes, McAfee won’t be completely removed if, before, you do not uninstall Avast, including the use of its “Uninstall Application” if necessary (www.avast.com/eng/faq-install-uninstall-avast.html).
Wonderful
I removed leftover McAfee files (did not know I had any), and now the functionality of the webpages are back to normal.
Thank you for the great advice, it was very helpful.
You’re welcome. Feel free to come back any time you need help or just to change experiences 8)
