I have avast 4.8 pro, how to license the code added to avast 5? Is it possible at all?

Yes it is possible to use your 4.8 key for avast! 5
Providing you have a valid license key for avast! 4, you can use this form to have a license key sent to you in the form of a license file. This is necessary because ALWIL have changed the way licenses work in version 5.

You will need to use the same email address as the one you bought the key with.
On receiving the file, you can input it into the avast! user interface, and off you go

Ok. Must buy new because I’ve used a few years, many different e-mail, and I do not remember which was then in use.Or, I will confine myself to the free version.
Do a search of your email folders and try to find those from avast.com or register.avast.com find the most recent one and does the date you received it roughly coincide with still being in date 12 months after receipt of the email.
If so that id the email address and license key you need to enter in the link that Scott gave.
Hey Guys. I bought a Key from http://www.avast.co.za/ since I’m located in South Africa. When i put in my email and key. i get a email telling me its not valid. How do i upgrade to v5 now?

Yes. I have a pro license key for v4.8 that expires in November 2011. But I bought it from avast.co.za and the key doesnt seem to work with http://www.avast.com/resend-license.php
Ahh so did you uninstalled the avast 4.8 and installed avast 5.0 pro in your computer?
Or you have avast pro in one computer and avast 5.0 in another computer?
