Hi,
I’ve just downloaded the Avast for Windows home Server 60 day trial for my HP EX490 windows home server.

I’m unclear what level of protection is provided

  • I have a manual scan, which appears to scan all data
  • is the real-time scanning of system files only, system+data but only locally, or does it also protect remote clients accessing the data?

I purchased the version for WHS which includes licenses for up to 10 clients on top of the WHS. I then installed the Pro version to the desktops/laptop I have here and I run a scan on one desktop nightly that is on 24x7. So that appears to be working, provided you got the license and installed the Pro versions (I think the WHS one can install to remote clients but I forget, I did it myself and it shows up on the WHS Avast tab in the WHS login) you should be ok at that point.
