avast 4 Pro Log Viewer

My avast Pro Log Viewer does not seem to log under Notice. This has been true since version 4.1-4.5. It is difficult to iVAS and Program update histories without logs. I know there are other ways such as via email from Alwil. Anyone else has noticed this problem?

Please check the Settings - what is the log sensitivity settings?

Log size limit 4096KB.

I really want every bit of information logged.

I’m not quite sure if update events are actually being logged to the Notice category. That’s what the Setup/Updating part is for.

I’m pretty sure that information like “There’s a new version of avast available on the Internet” are logged - or aren’t they in your case?

Has it ever worked?

I have my logging set to this, and avast logs the updates, have you got avast set to update automaticly?, open avast>settings>update (basic) and choose automatic for both there.

Well, as far I know, let the slider on ‘Debbug’ and all logs above will be recorded :wink:
