Avast 5.0.499 Virus definitions not updated 100412-1

Hello to all the forum this morning to start pc Avast has been updated definitions from 100412-1 to 100412-2 only that the program always sees the definitions 100412-1 how to solve the problem?

That is below the picture of the home page where Avast tells me that the definitions are not updated and tells me to update

Proceed to do the update and tells me that the definitions are updated to 100412-2

I admit I had this problem with version 5.0.462 of Avast and resolved at the moment simply uninstalling and reinstalling Avast, but now it seems strange that in less than a week with another version appears the same error!

Accept advice on how to do thanks

Try avast repair and reboot

For a repair of avast. Windows, Add Remove programs, select ‘avast! Anti-Virus,’ click the Change/Remove button from the pop-up window, scroll down to Repair, click next and follow.

Thanks a lot Pondus ;D, doing as you suggested the system now gives me the correct version of the definitions! in older versions of Avast but not c was the repair button!

in older versions of Avast but not c was the repair button!
I did not understand the last you wrote here ???

Is everything OK ?

This bug is around for ages and it’s really annyoing. And when you think they fixed it once and for all, it happens again.

In the latest versions like 5.0.462 I do not think that there was a chance to repair Avast gave me only Update and Remove in Add / Remove Programs in Windows Control Panel

I found out now anyway thanks to the info you gave me are how to solve the problem

Solved the problem with a manual update, after this error occured…
It didn’t happen anymore here since updating to 5.0.499.

this is a bug?
it happened to me too (from 462 to 499) and I got the same error message when I try update from the GUI.
the only thing I did to fix this was wait a few seconds and updat again.

No me even continuing to update resolves the problem, the only way is to repair as reported by Pondus
