Hi,

I recently updated to Avast! 5.0 FREE.
But what is the difference between if you select custom installation or not while installing?

Hi Wiiwa,

Standard install will give you default path of installation ie “C:\program files\alwil software” and default shields ie “web shield, file system shield, p2p shield, im shield” etc, where as “Custom” gives the choice of where you want to install Avast (or any other program) and which “shields” to use aswell :slight_smile:

So, if I don’t select custom installation it will just install the " typical installation " that I can also choose when selecting the custom installation?

for your info the .nl website hosts the English version.

Don’t know when Dutch language version, for Belgians (and ok, also for the Dutch I guess…) will be released,
