Avast! 5.1.864.0 free disables fast user switching windows xp pro sp3

Hi,
After an avast!update the windows welcome screen and therefore fast user switching are disabled.
Tried repeatedly setting this back on via the users accounts options and tweakUI, but it is totally disabled.

Tried repairing Avast! from safe mode - no change.
Tried uninstalling Avast! and fast switching returned!
Reinstalling Avast! disabled fast switching again.

I also run comodo firewall/defence+ so there may be an incompatibility problem, but I’ve not experimented further.

I’ve been very happy with this product for over a year but I am concerned now.

Sorry if this is a known issue.

I’ve just tried 5.1.884. However fast switching is still disabled.
