I’d running windows 7 with COMODO firewall, when i try to update the software and virus definitions nothing happens, it just stays on the Initializing, Please Wait… and nothing happens, i have waited about 5 hours and finally gave up, I’ve let it through the firewall but still nothing, can anyone help?
Does it work if you remove/uninstall the firewall ?
Did you set ‘Allow’ on Comodo FW to avast update process?
When i disable the firewall it works fine, i have allowed it, I’ve treble checked, but it still doesnt work when the firewall is active.

I know that this is not an avast! problem.
But try this… remove actual version and install the last one (Pre-Release) and see if the problem solves in that way. http://forum.avast.com/index.php?topic=69152.0

I just get an error saying its incompatible with avast! and to add it to the avast! exclusions, but i cant install until I’ve done it :-\ but i cant do it until I’ve added it to the exclusions:-\
you could try installing the firewall first, then avast ?
