avast! 5 and the memory scan

No, it’s not a new group… ;D

In avast! 4 there was an option to scan the memory before scanning discs, folders etc. As this seems to be missing in v.5 I presume that the memory scan is automatic ?

Do you mean what would be the splash screen scan?

It is possible to achieve this, scanning what is in memory:

Create a custom scan, and in the scan areas, enter: QuickStartupMem

This scans the memory.
