Hi…was wondering if anyone else was having problems updating virus definitions with Avast 5. I have PC Tools Firewall with Avast having full internet access. Whenever I try to update definitions, it says “Updating Step 1/2…Initializing…Please Wait” and it looks like it’s going to begin the download but than times out after 3 seconds or so. Anybody knowof a fix or what the problem may be??

1.-Open PC Tools Firewall Plus then clic on Application Blocking wait for the programs there to appear
2.-Go below the firewall and uncheck mark where Hide uninstalled application rules says.
3.-Look for AVAST.SETUP with capital letter there should be one with a red cross there
4.-Get sure that the In and Out dots are green other wise clic on them and selec the option Allow All.

Yes, I did…but nobody looks on page 2 of a thread/forum. And from the look of things, there are various other issues of sorts with virus definition updates
