I received exe-file ‘setup_av_pro’ from ‘element5’ , but it is not installing on computer with message from Setup Sulfextract:‘Error 0 (000000000)Last operation was spawning’.
Avast Home v.4.8 was installed on my computer with WXP 3 years ago .
I tried install 'setup_av_pro’ on another (more old) computer – it was OK.
Why sulfextracting interrupts?

I had a problem with 4.8 pro and after writing down my license key info I reinstalled and setup first made me delete the app–I then installed again with no problem but couldn’t use the license key… What I did then was contact tech support and they sent an attachment with a new key BUT it was only good for Avast Pro 5 and so I had to download the trial version which is down below THE Buy it Now section where u have the language choices… That install automatically deleted 4.8. I had saved the license key attachment on my desktop and once I opened that it automatically registered Avast 5 and I had the same length of time remaining on my auto updates…

I was curious–Did u use the link DavidR provided where u input your 4.8 license key to get a new one for 5—because I wanted to know if it actually worked–no one gave me that link and I had to go thru tech as I previously indicated

If you install 5.0 pro over 4.8 pro, your license details should be retained and converted for 5.0 pro automatically as part of the installation process, so not everyone needs to do that.
Only if you do a clean install (or you experience a problem in the update and have to do a clean install) of 5.0 pro would you need to convert your old 4.8 pro license.
David–yeah I know now but I nvr got that link that u gave this person–so I did things the hard way and finally got the necessary info from tech support after 3 days…my 4.8 stopped working and when I got no quick answers here I downloaded it again but it was the trial version of course–then when tech support contacted me–they told to forget about 4.8 and to download 5 and then their attachment gave me back my standing when I opened it. I like Avast 5 pro better as it as Silent operation for gamers
