avast 5 email alert bug

Hi, I am using avast! 5.0.396 and the email alert has a annoying bug. First of all it doesn’t send the email, second of all it has a popup that occurs after a while (no right away) with an error message with 2 options, try again or cancel. but no matter what you click it will not go away, and while the popup is open you cannot use anything else. so I had to reboot to use my computer again.

What email alert, can you please expand (I don’t get any) on exactly what this is ?
